When thinking of thanksgiving this year, try your hardest to focus on the positive. It’s so easy to think “why should I be thankful?” “Life has handed me a horrible card this year, why be thankful?”

Having gratitude for things in your life on a regular basis makes you actually appreciate more in your life. Therefore bringing you happiness and making you aware of more positive outcomes in your day to day life.

Even in the year my father passed away, which was the hardest thing I have ever had to go through, I was thankful I got to get to see him before he actually passed. I was grateful that he was out of pain, and I was grateful I could be there for my brother (as they lived in a different country). I could appreciate these things even whilst grieving because I journal everyday at least three things I am grateful for, and this has helped me look at situations from a different perspective.

So for thanksgiving week, I ask you to try for 7 days to find 3 things you are thankful for everyday and see if your perspective on life changes.

God bless and sending you a big virtual hug x
