Despite curfews, and the church in Holguin Cuba being closed because of covid, the leadership team working with Alex & Yari have worked tirelessly and creatively building the first half of the new church building. Alex & Yari’s faith as they inspired their congregation and believed God was in control in the chaos and that last year would be a year of prophetic fulfilment.

In the face of very few materials and resources, God provided miraculously at every corner.

We were so thankful that we were still able to communicate with Alex & Yari despite Government restrictions. As Cuba’s beautiful people got more hungry and poorer, spending hours hunting for food in shops. Food they could not find or afford. The church was able to give out small food packages from tithes and gifts from the UK.
We were over the moon that 10 boxes of vital medical supplies safely arrived in Cuba. God was so good keeping these safe on their very precarious journey to Holguin. To mention just a couple of items in the boxes: there was no embarrassment to ask in church who had the medical condition that required hemeroid cream. Hands went up all over the place.
Ibuprofen & Paracetamol were handed out to family, church members and neighbours of the church. The churches heart is to reach out to those in the community, especially in the middle of such awful economic difficulties.

We are delighted to hear that the discipleship training is thriving. There are 15 new believers ready to be baptised and 10 on the current discipleship course.

The Bethel church in Holguin is growing there are now 80 to 90 adults & 70 children.

We have been humbled how God has blessed Alex and the church so much through so many of you. We are so thankful for your company on this big adventure to continue to bless our friends in Cuba.
